A few months ago, Jeremy and Stacy were contacted by an organization identifying Stacy as a relative of four children who were placed into foster care. As they learned more about the situation, it became clear that God was leading them to become kinship foster parents for at least two of the children. The two oldest boys (ages 8 and 7) have been living with Jeremy and Stacy's family since the end of August. It is still undecided if or when the two younger children will be placed in their home. This is a decision that will likely be made within the next few months. In any case, there is an immediate need for additional living space in the Schmoels' home to accommodate their larger family. Thankfully, Jeremy and Stacy have a basement in which they can create two bedrooms and renovate a bathroom. This increased living space is critical for their family's well-being.
The Schmoels have room in their hearts, but need people to come alongside them to help make room in their home. Contributing toward the basement renovation is one way you can partner with Jeremy and Stacy in what God is doing. Would you consider a gift of $100, $150, $200 or more to come alongside the Schmoels as they provide a safe, stable and nurturing family for these children? Your gift of any amount will be a help and a blessing!
